- LOCATION: Hills Football – Baulkham Hills.

OBJECTIVE:
To ensure that Female Footballers in the Hills have the opportunity to participate in programs designed to allow participants to learn and develop their skills to the best of their ability. The primary role of the Female Football Manager will be ensuring that the best practices of player education and development are adhered to. In addition this role will build Hills Football female participation strategies ensuring female football participation continues a double digit growth within the next 5 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Female Football Manager will:
- – Oversee and manage a Full Time Girls Skill Acquisition Phase Program within the FNSW competitions alongside Hills United FC.
- – Oversee and manage a Full Time Girls Conference League Program within the FNSW Competitions alongside Hills United FC.
- – Plan, Promote and conduct all GSAP & GCL trials alongside Hills United FC.
- – Design and oversee an Association based Girls Skill Acquisition Phased program within the local competitions.
- – Design and oversee Female Football development programs for players within Hills Football Association, alongside the Football Development Manager.
- – Assist Member clubs develop Female Football Programs within their clubs, alongside the Football Development Manager.
- – Collate the Assessment Reports from Team Coaches.
- – Manage and promote all GSAP & GCL marketing, Social Media and sponsorships.
- – In conjunction with Team Coaches, conduct structured parent consultations regarding ongoing development goals of individual players.
- – Dispute resolution/mediation function with the General Manager and HUFC for parent feedback, and grievance handling process.
- – Work with Hills United FC to determine player retention at the conclusion of the season.
- – Establish and maintain strong professional relationships and communication with all coaches, the HFI Board, all Member Clubs and various stakeholders, including other clubs (both association and FNSW clubs), associations, schools, FNSW and FFA.
- – Establish a communication strategy with our coaches and coaches from aligned associations to develop coaching pathways and provide advice and support on coaching matters.
- – Attend FFA coaching updates as required.
- – Maintain HFIs Professional standards for self, coaches and players.
- – Regularly monitor current trends in football and other sports and provide update to coaches.
- – Take responsibility for ensuring that the equipment is correct and is kept in good working order.
- – Be aware of and promote the Associations codes of conduct for coaches, players and parents at all times.
KEY OUTCOMES:
- – To develop and produce a pool of talented female footballers players for the National Player Pathway.
- – To develop Hills Football and its Member clubs to have double digit growth year on year female participation within the next 5 years.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- – Reports to the General Manager
- – Works in conjunction with Hills United FC’s Technical Director
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- – Sports Business / Sports Management Degree or equivalent.
- – Proven Female Football Coaching and Leadership Experience (2+ years)
- – Deep familiarity and experience with Female Football and willingness to adhere to and advance the FFA National Football Curriculum.
- – Ability to properly identify and develop Female Footballers.
- – Proven track record in developing and sustaining women’s sport or community group.
- – Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
- – Great communicator.
- – Punctual.
- – Works autonomously.
- – Able to prioritise tasks.
- – Broad knowledge of football development programs.
- – Experience in developing both elite and community player programs.
- – Understanding of the rules and regulations of the competitions.
- – Working with Children Check.
Desirable Criteria, Not essential
- – FFA C license or equivalent.
- – Elite Playing or Coaching Experience.
- – Network of coaches within the Female Football Space.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- – Regular weeknight and weekend work is required.
- – Flexible working hours.
- – This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Moderate computer skills required for MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint applications.
