The NSW Government has today announced that the stay-at-home orders that were put in place on Saturday, 26 June 2021, across all of Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour will be extended until at least 11.59pm on Friday, 30 July 2021.
Therefore, all football activities within Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour will remain suspended until 11.59pm on Friday, 30 July 2021.
What does this mean for Football?
- All games, training and other football activities remain prohibited;
- All Football NSW and Association competitions and leagues will remain suspended until 11.59pm on Friday, 16 July 2021; and
- Any football activity which takes place during this period is not sanctioned by Football NSW and, therefore, the Personal Accident insurance cover that is provided as part of a player’s registration may not apply.
