HILLS FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN FULL SWING FOR TERM 3 KICKING PLENTY OF GOALS

With the successful launch of the Hills Football Development Program in term two, we are back again for another round of football training for term three with numbers through the roof.

Term three kicked started on Monday evening the 22nd of July and will continue for the next ten weeks until the 23rd of September. Our program is delivered out of Bella Vista Public School on a brand new state of the art synthetic football pitch, the facility allows our players to train in a safe and controlled environment.

Across three training hours, we see 140 players attend our program with 40 of those players being girls, training in our girls-only program.

The Hills Football Development Program is an initiative to give access to all Hills Footballers aged between 7 and 12 – male and female – the chance to develop their skills at an affordable rate. The program is for players of all ability, skill level, and division. This model is designed to increase participation and time on the ball, with an age group focus to ensure the best possible development outcomes. Participating players could be identified for future talent identification programs and opening pathways at various levels.

Football Development Manager Zac Ribeiro commented “We strive to engage with our local community to provide football training programs for players in the Hills. Through this program, we have also increased the number of coaching opportunities in the district which we aim to continue across our association”.

A special mention to all coaches involved with the program who help our players achieve their footballing goals.
