What is a Community Coaching Course?
Because of the nature of the coach and the player in the Community context, these courses focus almost exclusively on the ‘Training’ pillar of the Coaching Expertise Model. Community Pathway courses are specifically designed for the coaches who look after Participation players: the courses are short, easily-accessible and low-cost.

What courses?
Hills Football provides the following courses:
1. Miniroos Certificate – a 3 hour practical course, ideal for coaches of 5-8 year olds.
2. Skill Training Certificate – a 10-14 hour fully practical course, ideal for coaches of 9-13 year olds.
3. Game Training Certificate – a 14 hour fully practical course, ideal for coaches of 13+ year olds.
Hills Football with the partnership of Football NSW on occasions can also cater for other courses such as:
1. Community Goalkeeping Course
2. C Licence

Why coach education?
We believe that coaches can, have a direct impact on quality of the football experiences of all players that will lead to a lifelong love of and engagement in the game. Better Coaches = Better Footballers

What should the club do now?
Any club wishing to host a coaching course will need to complete the below request form with a minimum of 3 weeks notice to ensure that this can be organised. Any request within this time frame will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Please note that completing this form within the correct time frame does not guarantee that the course will be held.
Coach educators will be allocated to courses strictly at the discretion of Hills Football.
