Hills Football offers various employment opportunities for coaches to help support and deliver the growing programs in the Hills Football community.

Hills Football believes that good coaches will have a direct impact on the quality of the football experience for all players that will then lead to a lifelong love and engagement for the game.

Hills Football are looking for coaches who are enthusiastic and passionate about coaching with a love for football to join our coaching team this year. Opportunities are available for individuals with a range of qualifications and experience, we can assist you with coaching accreditations where possible.

Below you will find information about the individual programs and the requirements for each program. All coaches must have their Working With Children Check to be eligible to work with Hills Football.

Association Youth League (AYL)

AYL is Hills Football’s Player Pathway Program that delivers a high level of football for all players all year round. Commencing with the player trials in October, selected players will then continue with training up to the Christmas break. Pre season training will return in mid January, and continuing to the end of the season normally around mid September. In total the 2022 AYL program will have seen training delivered for 40 weeks.

The AYL program operates boys under 13, 14, 15, 16 & 18 age groups. 2023 will be the first season for the under 18 age group. Training 3 times per week with a competition fixture on the weekend. Competition fixtures are across the Football NSW landscape. Team coaches will be the primary coach responsible for the delivery of sessions across the above mentioned period. Delivery will be in conjunction with an assistant coach, and supported by the Hills Football Technical Director (Dan Sheppard).

Qualifications

  • Team coaches need to hold a minimum of a FA C Licence
  • Assistant coaches need to hold or be working towards a minimum FA Skill Training Certificate or FA Game Training Certificate, with preference being working towards a FA C Licence.

Hours of operation

The AYL program conducts 3 training sessions per week, plus fixtures on the weekend. Training session times and dates are subject to Hills Football training schedule, which are often between 5:45 and 7:30pm start times.

HF Development

Club Player Program

The Club Player Program (CPP) is a development program offered to any Local Club. The CPP will provide football training and coach mentoring to the relevant local community Football clubs.

Qualifications

  • FA Skill Training Certificate.
  • Experience working with a football team or training program.

Hours of operation

The Club Player Program conducts training sessions most evenings of the week, with some undertaken on Saturday mornings at various Hills Football local Clubs. Training session times and dates are subject to Hills Football and the member Club.

Little Legends

Our Little Legends program is an introduction to football program for children aged 3-5. Weekly classes are FUN, engaging, and inclusive. These sessions help build fundamental movement skills, football techniques, and social skills in young players.

Qualifications

  • FA Grassroots Certificate.
  • Experience working with children.

Hours of operation

The Little Legends program conducts training sessions Monday-Saturday. Sessions times are subject to Hills Football and the location, however the majority of sessions are conducted in the mornings.

The Hills Football Academy

The Hills Football Academy is an initiative that gives access to all Hills Footballers aged between 5 to 16, the chance to develop their skills. Our training program increases participation and time on the ball focusing on the four core skills of the national curriculum.

Qualifications

  • FA Skill Training Certificate.
  • Experience working with a football team or training program.

Hours of operation

The Academy Program operates across different evenings of the week, across all four school terms of the year.
