The HillsBillies set sights for Masters Games

Managed by Keith Pierce, an ever-growing group of over 60s players from across the Hills region formed what is now known as ‘The Hillsbillies’.

The team currently caters for the Over 60s players however will shortly be able to facilitate an Over 65s and keen to gauge interest for those to join an Over 55s team too.

“The reason behind the team is to keep them playing!” the Team organiser Keith Pierce stated

With a busy 2021 ahead, ‘The Hillbillies’ are seeking more keen, eager and raring to go players to join this ever-growing team of Over 60s pioneers. With the Australian Masters in Perth in early October and the Pan-Pacific Masters in Gold Coast in early November there’s never been a better time to join to experience one of or both these terrific events.

“These annual events are a great way to play against players of the same age in fun but competitive environment” explained Keith.

In 2022 the World Masters Game is set to take place in May in Osaka, Japan; a goal for some or for all ‘The Hillsbillies’ to represent at the pinnacle of Masters football.
