Hills Football is pleased to share Board updates following the conclusion of our Annual General Meeting, held on Monday, 25 May 2026, at Pepper’s The Hills Lodge.
First and foremost, Hills Football acknowledges a momentous transition on our Board of Directors. After eight years of exceptional service, including six years as Chairperson, Matthew Perram’s term on the Board has come to an end.
Matt became the inaugural director of Sydney Hills in 2015 and officially joined the Hills Football Board in April 2018. Since then, his leadership has been instrumental in shaping the football landscape in our region.
Over the years, Matt has worn many hats, expertly serving as Director of Judiciary, Director of Finance, and ultimately taking on the position of Chairperson in 2020.
“It has been an absolute privilege to recognise and honour an individual who has dedicated decades of service to football within the Hills,” Matthew said.
Matt’s dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment have left a profound impact on our community. His leadership and tireless hours of volunteer service have built a stronger, more vibrant game for everyone in our region.
Reflecting on his journey, Mattew shared a final thought with the organisation:
“Serving the Hills Football community has been an incredibly rewarding chapter of my life. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together to grow the grassroots game, and I leave knowing the association is in fantastic hands to kick off its next chapter.”
As we say thank you to Matt, Hills Football also celebrates the continuity and fresh energy driving our organisation forward into the future.
We are delighted to announce that Mick Pawelko and Leighton Hawkes have rejoined the Board for another two-year term, ensuring their valuable experience remains central to our strategic direction.

Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome a fresh perspective to the table with Khalid Mousa, from Kellyville Kolts FC, joining the Hills Football Board for the first time.
Hills Football extends its deepest gratitude to Matt Perram for his transformative leadership, a warm welcome back to Mick and Leighton, and congratulations to Khalid on his appointment.
