HILLS FOOTBALL TEAM UP WITH FLINTWOOD DISABILITY SERVICES

Anything is possible here at Hills Football.

At the beginning of the year, Hills Football teamed up with Flintwood Disability Services to provide a football program for their members.

Each day the staff at Flintwood offer different types of activities for there members to participate in, one of those being physical activity.

Each Wednesday morning for the past twenty weeks Hills Football staff load up the van and head over to the Centre in Dural. Here they are met by thirteen amazing participants who get their football fix with Coach Zac and Paul.

Zac commented, “It has been an absolute pleasure working with these participants, I think it’s important for our participants to participate in functional movement activities which can result in great health benefits both physical and mental”.

In line with our six clubs in the Hills Football Association who delivery the Football4All program for people with disabilities, we hope to create relationships with flintwood to one day see these participants join our programs during the winter football season.

With the recent first-ever high-performance program I’M POSSIBLE for people with disabilities launched by Hills Football and Super 6 High Performance, Hills Football continues to promote awareness and the importance of inclusive sports programs for people with disabilities.

A special mention to the staff at Flintwood who do an incredible job for these participants and a huge thanks to Paul Carollo for helping deliver the program.
