Underdogs Look to Topple Minor Premiers in AAL Division 1 Final
The AAL Division 1 Final will see the free scoring Castle Hill United Red up against the giant killing Kellyville Kolts, in a match that may throw up some surprises. United have been in hot form all year, dropping only 2 points in a draw against the Kolts cross town rivals, and scoring an astonishing 119 goals in the process.
They’ve faced their final opponents once this season in round 6, where they ran home 6-1 winners. However that matters little come the day of the final and the Kolts will be buoyed by their recent run of form.
After finishing fourth they convincingly beat the third placed Rockets 3-1 to book a meeting with local adversaries Kellyville United. The Kolts pulled off a giant killing, beating the second finishing United 1-0. An enormous effort when you consider the fact United scored 125 goal in 18 games during the season proper.
Little separates Kellyville United and Castle Hill United, so the Kolts should have every bit of belief that they can pull off a similar upset. It’ll be a win for the ages if they can do it.
