The 10th Grand Final weekend in the Hills Football Association’s history was another special occasion and one that will long be remembered by all involved in the special three days across the region.
Filled with triumph, heartbreak, tension and big moments, the players involved in all the finals across the age groups competed and represented their teams with pride and passion.
Some of the key highlights of the grand final weekend were Hills Spirit winning the inaugural Hills Super League title and completing the league and grand final double with a 3-2 victory over Castle Hill United in extra time. After that, Winston Hills won the All-Aged Women Division One championship with a 6-2 victory over Kellyville United.
There was also plenty of drama via the penalty spot, with multiple games needing to be decided from the penalty spot and crown champions including the O55/1 Baulkham Hills Blue, the U12/6 Box Hill and the U15/2, where the shootout finished 9-8 in favour of Hills Knights, to name a few.
Across the weekend, the quality and competitiveness on display highlighted the strength and depth of football throughout the Hills district. From the youngest players experiencing the excitement of a grand final for the first time, through to the experienced senior players competing for championship glory, every match provided its own memorable moments.
For many players, coaches and families, the weekend represented the culmination of months of hard work, commitment, and dedication. The celebrations, emotions and memories created throughout the finals will undoubtedly remain a special part of the 2026 season for everyone involved.
