One of the leading elite-level football clubs in the Hills Football Association, the Kellyville Kolts demonstrate their passion for winning every weekend by providing pathways to premier league-level football, licensed coaching, and state-of-the-art training and playing facilities.
Founded in 1977, the Kolts are the largest club within Hills Football and one of the biggest clubs in NSW with over 2300 active members and close to 600 Female members. Their home ground, Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, is one of the most heavily used grounds, with weekly training and games. Though it has a total of five fields, two of which are synthetic, Kellyville can provide its players with some of the best facilities in the local area and constant access to games and training.
“Since moving from Memorial Avenue in 2003, The Kellyville Kolts, whilst working closely with the Council, has invested close to a Million Dollars in keeping the football facilities up to scratch and in the best condition possible. Today Bernie Mullane stands as a legacy for all of the hard-working volunteers that have put so much time, finance and physical effort into providing the best facilities around district.” Said Kolts president Bob Harold.

The Kolts are one of four Hills member clubs participating in the new joint premier league with the North West Sydney Football Association, and they also have teams in the Women’s Premier League and Hills Super League. Having won the old Hills Men Premier League countless times over the past decade, the club saw the venture and move to the North West Sydney competition as a no-brainer, with a high priority set on providing and competing at the highest level. Thus far, their Premier League side is six points clear at the top of the league as the second half of the season begins.
“The Kolts Premier League are a loyal collection of Kolts players, with most of them starting at the junior level and having worked their way through the Kolts Development pathways to find themselves in two of the hottest Premier League Teams at this level of football. Both the Men and the Women are backed up by U21s Premier League Development squads, providing that conveyor belt of up and coming talented players.” Harold added.

To get the best results and improve their players, Kellyville has put significant resources and effort into coaching education and into getting licensed coaches into their club. The club offers all parent coaches an in-house and an external Coaching Course, both funded by the club. This has resulted in the club now having 19 C-License Coaches and 2 B-License Coaches.
A further emphasis on coaching is evident in their Club Coach Coordinator, Technical Director, and former Socceroos Captain, Alex Tobin. Tobin, who played over 500 matches in the old National Soccer League and captained Australia in 30 of his 87 caps, now leads the Kolts in their coaching department, showcasing their elite-level offerings and opportunities.

“The Kolts takes Coach Development very seriously and financially subsides all Coach education up to including B Licence courses. With the Active involvement of Alex Tobin, Paul Katsetis and Danny Aboud the Technical aspects of Coach and Player Development is in very good hands.” Harold concluded.
