At the beginning of the 2026 season, the Hills Football Association and the North West Football Association began a partnership that would see the formation of a combined Premier League competition. Integrating the best clubs from Hills Football and North West Sydney Football to create a stronger, viable and more competitive competition for the associations and clubs involved.
The merger announced at the end of 2025 would see a 12-team Premier League Men’s competition, with 10 NWSF clubs, and 2 invited HFI clubs and a 12-team Super League Men’s competition, with 10 NWSF clubs and 2 invited HFI clubs. The Premier League competition would serve as the top-tier competition above the Super League competition, which serves as the second-tier competition with promotion and relegation operating between the two divisions.
“We are incredibly excited to be working with Hills Football Incorporated on these new joint competitions. This structure raises the standard of football in our region and gives our players the best possible platform to showcase their skills at the highest level of community football,” CEO of North West Sydney Football Phil Brown said last year
The four clubs from Hills that are participating in the new leagues are Castle Hill RSL FC, Castle Hill United FC, Kellyville Soccer Club and Winston Hills Soccer & Sports Club. Castle Hill United FC and Kellyville Soccer Club are currently competing in the Premier League Men’s competition, and Castle Hill RSL FC and Winston Hills Soccer & Sports Club are competing in the Super League Men’s competition.

Through the opening seven rounds of the competition, Kellyville Soccer Club and Castle Hill United FC are sitting first and second in the Premier League Men’s competition, with Kellyville remaining undefeated while Castle Hill’s lone loss so far has come from a 4-0 defeat against Kellyville.
“Overall, it has been great and were grateful that we have been accepted into this. It is still early days, but it has all been positive, and the competition we are in has been outstanding,” Kellyville Soccer Club Premier League Men’s head coach Paul Fraser said.
“It is important for me and for Kellyville that there is a structured football that semi resembles the next level up, which is the National Premier League, and this competition allows us to do that.”
Meanwhile, in the Super League Men’s competition, Castle Hill RSL sit second, three points behind league leaders North Epping Rangers FC, who defeated the Rockets 3-2 a fortnight ago. Winston Hill is currently in 10th position with just a single point through the opening seven rounds.
“With a number of fresh faces across the squad, it has taken a little longer to find rhythm and consistency, especially in a competition where most teams are already well settled,” Winston Hill Technical Director and Player Jeremy Caruana said.
“That said, the commitment from the players has been outstanding, and each week we’re seeing stronger connections and a clearer identity in the way we want to play.”
“The increased size of the league also adds to the professionalism of the environment. There’s a stronger sense of competition, more at stake across the ladder, and a greater emphasis on preparation and maintaining consistent performance levels across the course of the season.”

A match of the round is streamed once a weekend, hoping to highlight the quality and talent on display. This week’s match of the round showcases the Super League competition with Winston Hills hosting 12th-place Epping Eastwood FC on Saturday at 3:00 PM, with both sides hoping to pick up their first win of the season. This match and every match of the round will be streaming live and exclusively on the Hills Football TV YouTube channel.
