Hills Football and Hills United FC are pleased to see Caddies Creek Stage 2 as the Home of Football

Hills Football Incorporated (HFI) warmly welcomes today’s announcement by the Hills Shire Council unveiling the Memorandum of Understanding with HFI and Hills United FC, affirming Caddies Creek Reserve as the premier football destination in the region

This announcement marks a milestone in achieving Hills Football’s vision of developing a Centre of Excellence at Caddies Creek, something that has been ongoing since 2015.

Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne officially launched Stage 2 of the Caddies Creek Reserve masterplan, detailing transformative upgrades that include four additional full-sized football fields, multiple mini and small-sided fields, a new amenities building, expanded parking, and enhanced access off Windsor Road and Sanctuary Drive

“Caddies Creek Reserve will become the home of football in The Hills,” remarked Dr Byrne, emphasising the importance of elite-level sporting pathways for the growing community”

Key project highlights:

  • Addition of four full-sized football fields
  • New mini and small-sided football pitches
  • Construction of a modern and high performance Centre of Excellence amenities building
  • Expanded parking and improved site access
  • Community access maintained outside formal club use

HFI General Manager Charlotte Ercil added,

“As one of NSW’s leading football associations, having access to a venue like this will only increase our offerings to our clubs, players, volunteers, referees, coaches, and spectators.”

“We thank The Hills Shire Council for their support, and we’re really excited to see this project fulfilled. This venue is set to leave a lasting impact on our community for generations to come.”

Tristan Rimmer, President of Hills United Football Club—The Hills’ only club currently competing in the Football NSW Premier League System—said,

“We have long dreamed of being able to represent the Hills Football community within the Hills LGA and soon this dream will be realised. I can’t wait to see the positive impact it will have for footballers in the Hills community.”

Stage 2 will also ensure continued public access to the Reserve for passive recreation, complementing existing facilities including three full-sized fields, playground, parking, and shared pathway network—features first introduced at the Reserve’s opening in August 2018
