Hills Football believe that coaches have a direct impact on the quality of the football experiences of all players. As such Hills Football are committed to supporting our Grassroots Coaches in their understanding, delivery, development, and coaching journey.
To date Hills Football have facilitated both Foundations of Football & Miniroos Courses with local club coaches. This has been well received with several association coaches upskilling themselves in preparation for the 2024 season. We are excited to share that participation across all courses has been almost 50% female, which is a significant increase on previous years.
The Miniroos course will give you the fundamentals of coaching and equip you with the tools you need to give players the best possible first experience in the game.
“I learnt how to deliver fun, safe, and engaging sessions, while still mixing it up each week – Matilda (Miniroos Coaching Course)
The Foundations of Football Course follows the Football Australia Curriculum and Game-Play-Play-Model highlighting a holistic way to deliver training, ensuring high engagement and repetition of core skills.
As someone who knew nothing when it came to soccer and coaching, I found the foundation coaching course incredibly helpful in knowing where to start.
It gave me the confidence to teach the kids in a fun way! It was very interactive and gave us loads of practical ideas as to how to setup our training sessions.
Thank you so much – I am very grateful to have participated and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to start coaching. – Mez (Foundations of Football Coaching Course)
Upcoming Course
