PlayinPurple Round is a nationwide campaign which raises vital funds and awareness of Pancreatic Cancer. Hills Football Clubs have been in support of the initiative each year, where funds and awareness is raised with the purchase and use of purple socks across a scheduled weekend in the football season.
Clubs and teams involved in the initiative in 2023 included:
Hills Football Association Youth League – purchased 54 pairs of socks and one beanie
Glenhaven FC – purchased 223 pairs of socks
Rouse Hill Rams FC – purchased 658 pairs of socks and 36 beanies
The campaign as a whole saw $200,000 raised across all sports, so thank you to the mentioned Clubs and programs for their contribution.
