In preparation for the upcoming Association Youth League (AYL) season Hills Football is proud to introduce the 2022 coaching staff. Hills Football intend to undertake AYL trials as soon as NSW Government restrictions allow.
Under 13
Josh Carnevale
Qualifications: MiniRoos Certificate, FFA C Licence
Coaching experience: 5+ years including Oakhill College, Castle Hill Rockets, Hills Football AYL
Playing experience: Oakhill College First XI, NWS Spirit, Inter Lions, Hawkesbury, Currently Castle Hill United.
2022 ambitions: “Assisting in improving all players technical, tactical, physical and mental skills through a great team atmosphere.”
Christian Gallagher
Qualifications: Bachelor of commerce, enrolled for coaching licence (start date affected by COVID restrictions)
Coaching experience: 3 years at Tara Anglican School
Playing experience: Inter Lions, Gladesville Ryde Magic, Hills United FC
2022 ambitions: “To teach players the foundations of the necessary mind set and skills required to advance their football journey.”
Under 14
Norm Dong
Qualifications: FFA C Licence, Skill Training Certificate
Coaching experience: 4+ years including Hills Football AYL and Kenthurst & District FC
Playing experience: Community Football
2022 ambitions: “To develop a youth football team that showcases their talent and positive attitude both on and off the field.”
Under 15
Rod DeSilva
Qualifications: FFA C Licence, FFA B Licence
Coaching experience: 19+ years including NPL clubs and the NTC in WA, Roda JC (Netherlands), Avoca FC, Blacktown City.
Playing experience: Represented WA as a youth, played NPL in WA.
2022 ambitions: “To assist developing good football players and therefore producing a good team, all whilst I continue moving towards achieving my A Licence.”
Under 16
Omid Hamlehdar
Qualifications: FFA C Licence, FFA B Licence (currently undertaking)
Coaching experience: 10+ years, including clubs overseas as well as Castle Hill United and Hills Football AYL
Playing experience: From childhood through to 40 years old at various levels
2022 ambitions: “Create a united team, with hard working players that are creative and technically capable.”
Jalan Hough
Qualifications: MiniRoo certificate, Skill Training Certificate, Enrolled for Game Training Certificate (start date affected by COVID restrictions)
Coaching experience: 2+ years at Quakers Hill Tigers
Playing experience: AYL U16 at BDSFA, BDSFA Premier League
2022 ambitions: “Whilst assisting AYL players to grow to their potential, also learn and grow myself.”

Dan Sheppard
Qualifications: Bsc Hons Sports Studies, FA Level 2, UEFA B Licence, FFA A Licence, Community Coach Presenter, FFA C Licence Presenter, FFA C Licence Assessor
Coaching experience: 16+ years including Stevenage FC, Luton Town FC (England), Northern Tigers FC, Central Coast Mariners FC, Hills United FC and Inner West Hawks FC
Playing experience: Various clubs in England at a mix of levels
2022 ambitions: “For the AYL program to be regarded as the premier development program in the Hills for local footballers.”
Goalkeeper coach
Alex Gornall
Qualifications: Community Goalkeeping Certificate, Skill Training Certificate, Level 1 Goalkeeping Licence (start date affected by COVID restrictions)
Coaching experience: 4+ years including Hills Football and The Kings School
Playing experience: NPL2 and NPL3
2022 ambitions: “To continue to develop Goalkeepers capable of playing at a higher level.”

Qualifications: FFA Conditioning Coach, Level 2 strength & conditioning (ASCA), Exercise Physiologist (ESSA)
Coaching experience: 7+ years including Hills Football AYL, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Blacktown City FC, Brisbane Roar FC
Playing experience: Community football
