There have been many landmark moment across the 2020 football season. Starting with some obvious highlights like the first AYL trials, to the first games, to the first goals and first wins. Through to some very low points like the postponement of all Football. But now that we come to the end of the longest season ever, has been enormously positive. Which is a huge testament to all the players, parents and coaches.
Recently due to a NSW health order all competition games were halted and games played within hubs. What a great scenario this was for the AYL squads getting to play 3 of their 5 games against NPL Tier 2 opponents rather than the regular AYL games. Getting some good results along the way too. Last week we entered new territory for the AYL boys – NPL Youth Tier 1.
Hills Football and Hills United played some very competitive friendly matches Wednesday last week for the Under 14 and Under 15’s. Tomorrow night the Under 13 and Under 16’s will take their turn, with the Under 13’s wrapping up against the games, with a final game against the HUFC Under 12 SAP next week.
