WATCH THE SOCCEROOS KICK OFF THEIR WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN LIVE AT ROUSE HILL

Football fever is taking over The Hills, with fans set to gather for a lively Green and Gold themed party at Rouse Hill Town Centre to celebrate Australia’s opening match against Turkey in the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Festivities kick off from 12pm on Sunday, 14 June, building excitement ahead of the 2pm match, which will be shown live, loud, and free on a massive outdoor screen at Market Square, opposite Rouse Hill Metro.

Fans will enjoy a festival-style atmosphere packed with entertainment, including food trucks, live DJ sets, roving performers, free face painting, and interactive football activities delivered by Hills Football Association.

Mayor of The Hills Shire Dr Michelle Byrne said the event promises to be a vibrant, family-friendly experience for the whole community.

“We know how passionate our community is about sport, and this is a fantastic opportunity to come together and cheer on the Socceroos in a fun, inclusive setting,” Mayor Byrne said.

“From the moment you arrive, there will be plenty to enjoy. You can grab a bite to eat, find a bean bag, soak up the atmosphere, and get ready to be part of the excitement.

“It’s incredible to see Rouse Hill Town Centre set to come to life as a vibrant space where our community can connect, celebrate, and share in one of the world’s biggest sporting events.”
